Maple Leaf Line Up
When the first Oktoberfest Maple Leaf Parade kicked off at 3:02 p.m., October 15, 1961, it drew the biggest crowd La Crosse had ever seen! Little did the Sergeant Color Guard from American Legion Post 52 know they were beginning a tradition that 50 years later continues to draw thousands.
