Oktoberfest names parade
marshals

With the start
of Oktoberfest
less than two
weeks away, the
identities of
the parade
marshals were
revealed on
Monday.
Dave Clements,
executive
director of La
Crosse Area
Convention and
Visitors Bureau,
was named the
Maple Leaf
parade marshal.
“Keeping it a
secret and not
talking about it
was the hardest
part,” Clements
said. “I’ve
known since
June. Now I’m
looking forward
to getting down
to Oktoberfest
business.”
This year’s
Torchlight
Parade marshal
will be Steve
Hole, Logan High
School’s
activities
director.

Carlynn

Steve
and Mary
Hole
I’m very much
looking forward
to it,” Hole
said. “I’m very
much honored and
humbled by the
selection.”
Oktoberfest runs
Sept. 28 through
Oct. 6 in La
Crosse.
The Maple Leaf
Parade will be
at 10 a.m.
Saturday, Sept.
29.
The Torchlight
parade will be
at 7 p.m. Oct.
4.
