Together again—and ready
to party like it’s 1810!

The longest-running community Oktoberfest celebration in the
Midwest, Oktoberfest began in 1961. Originally a collaboration
between the City of La Crosse and the G. Heileman Brewing
Company (founded in La Crosse), Oktoberfest has been
celebrating German heritage for nearly 60 years!

Inspired by the annual Oktoberfest held in Munich, Germany
since 1810, La Crosse’s Oktoberfest continues to grow in
popularity regionally and nationally thanks to its stunning
fall setting and numerous activities inspired or influenced by
German culture.
